We recommend domesticated birds should have their wings clipped at least twice a year. This will protect them from accidentally escaping from your house or flying into a window too hard. We recommend that you clip their nails 3 or 4 times a year or whenever it becomes to uncomfortable to hold them. Our low cost grooming service is provided every Sunday and Monday between 12:00pm and 4:00pm. No appointment is necessary. We make every effort to accommodate those who could not come at that time. If so it's time for your pooch to get a pedicure. We offer low cost nail trimming by our very own Vet Tech. Nail trimming should be done several times a year to assure proper foot care. Over grown nails can lead to long term health issues.
We also provide cat pedicures.
Dog and Cat Nail Trimming
Most birds are not sexually dimorphic, and therefore a DNA blood test is necessary to determine the sex. We use
Zoogen Lab. in Davis, California. It is a simple procedure, we clip your birds nail to get a drop of blood for the DNA. The price is $30.00 and you will usually have the results within a week.
